Water Sampling & Testing

Case Environmental can arrange for the collection and analysis of almost any parameter of interest (contaminator) in any water type (raw or treated), from arsenic to uranium! Depending on the parameter the cost can be under £4. The samples are analysed in a UKAS accredited laboratory and, in some cases, the results can be provided the following day.

We can also undertake other sampling requirements such as asbestos, soil, sewage effluent, harvested rain water and river water.

The analysis is charged to our customers at cost, we charge for the collection and the interpretation of the results.

Water Sampling Contracts and repeat visits can be arranged

Private Water Supply Testing

Case Environmental is particularly experienced in the testing of private water supplies such as wells, springs and borehole supplies.  The sample results are reviewed and relevant advice is given.

Swimming pools and spas/hot tubs

There is a well documented history of illness outbreaks associated with pools & spas/hot tubs. Typically, the cause is  what can appear to be a relatively insignificant failure in the treatment process, maintenance or management.

Case Environmental can sample swimming pools for any parameter needed.  We can give technical advice with regard to the relevant regulations and how they may affect you and the running of your swimming pool & spa.

Recreational Water Quality and Aquatics

Sample analysis can also be arranged for virtually any parameter for any water body used for recreation, fisheries/fish keeping, be it a small tank, a large pond/lake or even a flowing stream/river.  Sample analysis includes pesticides, heavy metals, microbiology (including algae) and much, much more.  The sample analysis will provide results that are far more reliable than test kits and are useful for assessing the water quality accurately.

The analysis can be used for trouble-shooting problems, establishing the water quality characteristics and optimising treatment.  This is particularly valuable if your source water is prone to contamination (such as rivers or algal blooms in lakes/ponds) or if the value of your stock is high.  Longer term sampling is also useful in identifying trends where the water quality might be changing.  Testing the water following sudden fish deaths may also identify the cause and prevent repeat problems.

Sample bottles and collection instructions can be sent by post though it is worth noting that some parameters are not stable and may change during transit - if you are not sure, please contact us before collection.  If you need to collect a sample without the correct bottles, please note that some parameters will change if stored incorrectly.

On request reports can be provided to discuss the results of the analysis and if necessary, recommended actions.
